ATA Associates, a nationally recognized leader in accident investigation and analysis, has announced a new crash reconstruction training program tailored for attorneys, insurance adjusters, and transportation professionals. The sessions will take place at the ATA Associates headquarters at 1301 Gemini Street in Houston, Texas, with dates to be announced soon.
The training is designed to familiarize participants with the processes and techniques used by professional crash reconstructionists. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how crash evidence is collected, documented, and interpreted—and how those findings are used in legal and insurance contexts.
“This training is about making the complex work of crash reconstruction more accessible and useful to the people who rely on it,” said Mike Ludeke, Operations Manager and training coordinator at ATA Associates.
“This training helps demystify the work done by reconstruction experts,” said Bob Swint, CEO at ATA Associates. “Whether you’re an attorney preparing for litigation or an adjuster handling claims, understanding how conclusions are drawn from crash evidence is incredibly valuable.”
Three course formats will be offered to meet varying levels of interest and availability:
One-Hour Overview – A concise introduction to crash reconstruction, ideal for busy professionals looking for a general understanding.
Four-Hour Session – A more hands-on experience that includes demonstrations and practical elements, offering a deeper dive into the tools and techniques used by reconstructionists.
Eight-Hour Intensive – A full-day, in-depth training designed for those who want comprehensive exposure to the technical, legal, and procedural aspects of crash reconstruction.
The training will cover topics such as vehicle dynamics, scene documentation, black box (event data recorder) analysis, human factors, and the methodology reconstructionists use to form conclusions. Real-world case studies and demonstrations will help translate complex technical data into practical knowledge.
Space is limited, and early interest has been strong. Interested professionals are encouraged to contact the office for scheduling updates and registration details.
